This role requires expertise in image data management, analysis techniques, and AI applications, along with a strong background in building complex, multi-tier imaging solutions. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Image Analytics Architecture & Strategy:
- Define and implement the overall image analytics architecture and strategy, ensuring alignment with research and development goals.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in imaging technologies and AI, incorporating them into the architectural roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and insights through image-driven solutions.
- Image Data Management & Integration:
- Design and deploy robust image data management solutions, including capture, storage, lifecycle optimization, and integration.
- Optimize data storage strategies, balancing on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
- Develop efficient data pipelines for seamless image processing and analysis.
- Image Analysis & AI:
- Conduct image analysis using algorithmic and machine learning-based tools.
- Oversee image annotation and inferencing processes, utilizing computer vision algorithms.
- Implement human-in-the-loop learning to refine model accuracy and efficiency.
- Apply both traditional and generative AI methods to enhance image analysis tasks.
- Front-End Design & Architecture:
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces for image visualization and analysis.
- Design and implement front-end architectures that support image-centric applications.
- Ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems for optimal performance.
- Infrastructure & FinOps:
- Design and manage the infrastructure for image data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Implement FinOps practices to optimize costs associated with image data management and usage.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the imaging infrastructure.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with researchers, scientists, and engineers to understand imaging needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented team environment.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and building image analytics solutions, preferably within the biopharma industry.
- Expertise in image data management, analysis techniques, AI applications, and front-end architecture.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful imaging solutions in research or development settings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based image storage and processing platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for image data management in the biopharma industry.
- Strong understanding of FinOps principles and practices.
- Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
