Job Title: Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administrator

Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Lead OCI Admin with a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to manage and optimize our cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience configuring and managing OCI services, implementing security measures, and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery of critical infrastructure. This role requires strong technical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • OCI Core Services Configuration & Management:
    • Configure and set up OCI core services including compute, storage (Object Storage, Block Volume, File Storage Service), networking (VCN, subnets, security lists, route tables, Fast Connect, VPN), and security (IAM, Security Zones).
    • Manage and administer OCI tenancies, compartments, and network layers, ensuring efficient and secure operations.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement and manage security policies and best practices across OCI resources to ensure data protection and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Handle OS-related and application-related security vulnerabilities, ensuring systems are protected against threats.
  • Integration & ETL Management:
    • Design, develop, and manage integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to connect external applications with OCI.
    • Deploy and manage ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for data extraction, transformation, and loading into Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and other target systems.
  • Analytics & BI Applications Management:
    • Deploy and manage Analytics Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications using Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) and BI Applications (BIAPPS) modules.
  • Infrastructure Administration & Optimization:
    • Perform OCI infrastructure administration tasks including installation, configuration, migrations, tuning, patching, and monitoring.
    • Manage certificate renewals and perform performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
    • Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions to ensure high availability and optimal performance of infrastructure.
  • High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
    • Implement and manage high availability (HA) architecture in an OCI environment.
    • Develop and set up infrastructure for disaster recovery (DR) sites, ensuring a strong understanding of HA and DR concepts.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate effectively with infrastructure, application development, testing, and release teams to deliver integrated and secure solutions.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Primary Skills:

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Expertise:
    • In-depth knowledge of OCI core services, networking, and security.
  • ADW Management:
    • Expertise in managing Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse and data integration.
  • Integration and API Management:
    • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and API management.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Proven ability to implement and manage security measures within OCI.
  • Performance Tuning and Optimization:
    • Strong skills in tuning and optimizing OCI resources for peak performance.

Secondary Skills:

  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
    • Understanding of DR concepts and experience setting up DR sites.
  • Cost Management and Optimization:
    • Knowledge of OCI cost management practices to optimize resource usage.
  • DevOps and Automation:
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools to streamline infrastructure management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in configuring, managing, and optimizing OCI environments, with at least 5+ years in OCI core services.
  • Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
