As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for defining designs and providing technical enablement for application components or subsystems, particularly for research applications. Your role will primarily focus on writing code (in Python or similar languages) and enabling integration with various systems.

Responsibilities

Design, test, and implement solutions for research applications with a focus on cloud integration.

Write clean, maintainable code primarily in Python or Groovy.

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket/GitHub, Jenkins, and automation tools.

Leverage infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

Manage and deploy Docker images on AWS services like EC2, EKS, Lambda, and S3.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud technologies.

Administer Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.

Work with monitoring and alerting systems like Prometheus, Alert Manager, and Grafana.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a strong focus on performance and reliability.

Job Requirements

8 to 13 years of experience in cloud development, specializing in AWS, Python, Groovy, and Jenkins (L3 Skills).

Proficient with AWS Cloud platform, including services such as EC2, EBS, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, S3, EKS, etc.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

Strong programming skills in Python, Groovy, or similar languages.

Experience in building and managing Docker images and deploying them on EKS.

Proficient with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Alert Manager.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to document and communicate technical information clearly.
